Event of the Year 2012 (Singapore)
Event of the Year 2012 is coming back this year and will be by far the biggest ever. This time round, the venue will be at Marina Barrage, which the place is huge enough for everyone. Event of the Year is a cosplay festival where cosplayer gather together and have fun. Since it is in Marina Barrage, the scenic landscape give photographers good condition for photo shooting from day till night.
There are also other exciting segment such as visiting the maid cafe made up of dolls and there’s also booth exhibitors for you to buy stuff. For cosplayer, you might want to take part in Cosplay Parade.
Unlike previous years, this time round the admission is free of charge. So you don’t have to pay a single cent.
The event will be held at Marina Barrage on December 9 which is the Sunday. A perfect day if you asked me.
This time round, they aren’t just going to be only Cosplay festival. They are bringing artiste from Japan to perform at the EOY J-pop live concert. Artiste such as Haruna Luna, I’m sure all of you know her after watching Sword Art Online.
And here’s a special message for fans who will be seeing her.
Danceroid, their dance are simply amazing. They got famous after uploading their dance on Nico Nico Douga and Youtube in Japan. They performed in Singapore once and now they are back by popular demand.
Sayuri Sugawara, the one who performed the songs of Final Fantasy XIII’s “Kimi ga Iru Kara” and “Eternal Love”. She will be here for the first time in Singapore.
The EOY J-pop concert will be held at Esplanade Concert Hall on 11 December 2012. You can buy their ticket here. If you have a Passion card (PA Card), NSF or SAFRA card holder. Then you are entitled to a 10% discount for the ticket.
